Pre-nuptial agreements

Binding Financial Agreements (or pre-nuptial agreements as they are often referred to) are often considered by couples who are planning to marry or commence cohabitation where one or both of the parties to the relationship have significant assets that they wish to protect in the event of a breakdown in the relationship in the future.

A Financial Agreement is not a Court Order, but rather a contract between the parties that is intended to set out how property is to be divided if the relationship breaks down. If you are considering a Binding Financial Agreement it is recommended that you obtain legal advice about your specific situation.
